Under the new redistricting plan signed by Gov. Steve Beshear Friday, the district will include Christian, Caldwell, Crittenden and Union counties.

"Serving the people of the Third District has been one of the greatest privileges of my life and I look forward to getting to know and working with people in the new counties of the Third District – Caldwell, Crittenden and Union counties," Pendleton said. "I want to continue to use my seniority and position on key committees to increase opportunities and improve the quality of life for the people of the Third District and Kentucky. Education, health care and jobs for our citizens must be the priorities of Kentucky state government."

Pendleton has a close relationship with many local officials in his district and looks forward to building similar relationships with the local officials in the new counties in his district. He said he also welcomes input on projects from the local officials and wants to hear their concerns and ideas.
