Marion woman faces assault charge

A Marion woman is in custody for allegedly striking her boyfriend with a truck during a domestic dispute.

Chasity Lynn Jackson, 31, of Marion is charged with first-degree assault following the alleged incident that occurred shortly before midnight Tuesday at the corner of Lewis and Travis streets in Marion.

Jackson, who was arraigned Wednesday in Crittenden District Court, pleading not guilty. Her bond was set at $10,000 cash.

The victim remains hospitalized.

The incident remains under investigation by the Marion Police Department. The suspect has denied hitting her boyfriend with the vehicle.
