Reports: Former Murray resident will succeed Keillor as ‘Prairie Home’ radio host

Reports from several Internet media are indicating that a former Murray resident has been chosen to take the place of an international entertainment icon. Multiple media sources are reporting that Chris Thile, lead singer and mandolin player for the renowned progressive acoustic trio Nickel Creek, as well as his newest project, the popular Punch Brothers group, will soon assume host duties of “A Prairie Home Companion,” a public radio variety show that has been hosted by Garrison Keillor the past 41 years.
