Flags shall fly at half staff on Friday 9/11

On Friday marks the 19-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon and United Airlines Flight 93 which crashed in suburban Pennsylvania.

It is known as Patriot Day, and serves as a remembrance of the lives lost on that September morning in 2001.

Flags shall be lowered to half-staff for the entire day on September 11.

Flags were also ordered to fly at half staff on Thursday by Gov. Andy Beshear in memorial to those lives lost to COVID-19.
