Basketball official taken to hospital at half

One of the three KHSAA basketball referees officiating Tuesday night's girls' basketball game between Crittenden and Webster counties apparently collapssed in the locker room at halftime.

Crittenden EMS responded and spent several minutes in the locker room before transporting the unnamed official to Crittenden Hospital.

The PA announcer at the ball game said after about a 12-minute delay that the referee had a strong pulse when he was taken on a gerny and put into the abulance. The girls' game was resumed with officials who were scheduled to referee the boys' game finishing the contest. The others apparently went to the hospital with their crewmate.
