Fireworks must end tonight by law

The fuse on Fourth of July fireworks runs out tonight. The City of Marion's ordinance dictating the use of fireworks prohibits any use of them beyond 10 p.m. today and lasting until June of next year.

Use is restricted to the hours between noon and 10 p.m. June 27 to July 5, excluding the Fourth, when fireworks can be shot until 11 p.m. Violation of the ordinance could result in a fine.
