ORIGINAL POST : High winds again on Sunday morning caused the ferry to stop operating.
The ferry opened on a normal schedule this morning, but winds continued to climb, posing a safety issue. The service shut down shortly after 8am.
When winds blow from the west or north, the ferry is more particularly effected. Forecasts are for 20mph gusts out of the west until this afternoon.
It will remain closed until the winds subside.
