Judge anticipates push for 2A Sanctuary here

Crittenden County Judge-Executive Perry Newcom anticipates a grassroots movement here to compel local leaders to explore making this community a Second Amendment Sanctuary.

A wave of communities across Kentucky, and beyond, have been adopting measures that they hope will insulate them from potentially stricter, future gun laws.

Whether local governmental action of this fashion would have any buoyancy against future state or federal law remains to be seen. However, the push is real and Newcom says he will be prepared for it as soon as next week when county magistrates convene for their regular monthly meeting.

See this week's printed edition of The Crittenden Press for further details.
