The
Cave In Rock Ferry plans to reopen at noon after being
closed since dark Wednesday evening due to heavy ice on the Ohio River.
While there is still ice floating in the river, it has dissipated enough to allow the ferry to safely operate.
It
will take the crew a couple of hours to clear ice and debris off the
landings to prepare for ferry service to resume on the normal operating
schedule. The Cave In Rock
Ferry plans to resume operation at noon today.
