Sheriff's Department warns about scam

Crittenden County Sheriff's Department is warning area churches of a potential scam.  Deputy Chuck Hoover said an African-American couple approached two rural churches asking for money this morning.  Both churches made donations to the couple. Police have reason to be suspicious about this acivity, and Hoover is warning individuals to be mindful. If your church experiences such a request, he urges you to report it by calling Marion dispatch at (270) 965-3500.
