The issue has been repaired and the ferry was back up and running by 1:30pm

The Cave in Rock Ferry has temporarily halted service due to a mechanical issue. The ferry stopped carrying passengers across the Ohio River just before noon today.
There is no indication at this point how long the ferry will be idled. We will try to provide an update soon.
