The Cave-in-Rock ferry is closed due to high water on the Ohio River. It closed early this morning. The ferry connects Ky. 91 with Illinois Route 1. About 500 vehicles use the ferry each day crossing the river between Crittenden County, Ky., and Cave-in-Rock, Ill. It generally operates from 6 a.m., until 10 p.m., seven days a week.The ferry is closed largely to due to the approach road on the Kentucky side being under water.
