Obituary: Gillespie

Frank A. Gillespie, 91, of Marion died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009 at his home. He was a retired river boat pilot and U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his three daughters, Helen McConnell, Sue McDowell and Carolyn Hinchee, all of Marion; 10 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Margie Gillespie; parents, Jack and Stella Gahgan Gillespie; and two brothers.

Graveside services are Sunday, Dec. 27 at Mount Zion Cemetery in Marion. Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of arrangements.
