It was a fatality and the road was closed for about 4 hours while State Trooper Darron Holliman and local sheriff's department officials pieced together their investigation. The highway is now open for thru traffic.
The identity of the victim was not immediately released. More details will be posted as they are available.
It is the first fatal highway accident in Crittenden County this year.
