On emergency order of county officials, a burn ban remains in effect until the area receives sufficient rain to rescind the order.
All outdoor burning is prohibited under the emergency burn ban.
Also, county officials are asking residents to use sound judgement over the holidays and to refrain from shooting fireworks that could set off wildfires.
