Ronald Greer, 32, of Metropolis, Ill., has been sentenced to two years in prison on a felony theft by unlawful taking over $500 charge, stemming from an investigation conducted by
the Livingston County Sheriff's Department which began in December 2013.
The original complainant stated that someone had stolen a
generator and other tools from him at his residence in Smithland. The investigation led deputies to Greer. Some of the property was
recovered and Greer was charged at the time.
