The Times Leader in Princeton is reporting the suspect in an attempted
bank robbery on Friday, the second robbery at the same bank in three
days, was shot and killed by local police. The Planters Bank on North
Jefferson Street was the target of a robbery for the second time this
week Friday morning. Another robbery occurred at the bank at about 8:40
a.m. Wednesday. Kentucky State Police secured a wide perimeter around
Planters Bank as the investigation into Friday morning's apparent
robbery and shooting unfolded.
