As Kentucky remembers the 9/11 terror attacks of 2001 and the lives lost that day, there are those who won’t. Not for lack of respect, but a lack of memories. An entire class of students has graduated kindergarten and high school since the attacks — they’re adults whose only knowledge of the event comes from recorded images and stories. “They do not have those images of 9/11 burned into their memories like we do,” Fort Knox Fire Chief Marvin Gunderson wrote in an email to The News-Enterprise.
