Authorities looking for jail escapee

UPDATE: Inmate captured

Authorities have caught the inmate who escaped earlier this morning. He was found on Ky. 902 less than an hour after he walked away from a work detail on Crayne Cemetery Road.

The inmate from the Crittenden County Detention Center was wearing a green florescent jail work shirt, blue jeans and possibly carrying a chain saw when he walked away from a crew working to clear the right-of-way of storm debris. Authorities describe him as short with a tattoo under one of his eyes.

State and local authorities immediately began searching for the inmate. Although it has yet to be confirmed, there is some indication that a female accomplice may have provided transportation to the escapee.
