Crittenden County Fiscal Court has unanimously approved a new occupational and net profits tax. However, the court cut the originally proposed rate in half during its regular meeting Tuesday morning.
Therefore, a new one-half of one percent payroll and net profits tax will go into effect on July 1. At least part of the receipts will go toward funding the ambulance service.
