If you get more sleep, you can get better grades. That was the message
Wednesday evening from James B. Maas of Cornell University, a noted
sleep expert, to about 3,300 freshmen at Western Kentucky University
during the Freshman Assembly at E.A. Diddle Arena. Maas said students
need to establish a routine, going to bed and waking up at the same
times, and abstain from caffeine after 2 p.m. “Sleep deprivation makes
you clumsy, stupid, unhealthy and it shortens your life,” Maas said.
