The Siemens plant in Marion closed unexpectedly this morning around 10 a.m., for a deep disinfecting.
Company spokesperson Elizabeth Cho said an employee has tested positive for COVID-19 and the plant is following Siemens’ protocol.
“We have shut down for a deep cleaning and the plant will be up and running tomorrow,” Cho said.
The employee is self-isolating and Siemens is conducting a contact investigation and will be following protocol with anyone who had come into contact the infected person.
