Three injured in accident on U.S. 641

UPDATED: Crittenden County emergency response agencies were on the scene of a serious accident on U.S. 641 South near the Caldwell County line at around 8 p.m., Wednesday.

Crittenden EMS, rescue squad and other agencies from Caldwell and Crittenden counties responded, including Kentucky State Police.

The highway was temporarily blocked but was open to traffic by 8:30 p.m.

Three people were taken to the hospital, two in critical condition. Brooke Coleman of Eddyville was driving the Pontiac Montana van. Her two children, Issac and Jaden, sustained serious injuries. Brooke was taken to the hospital, too, but her injuries were not as severe.

There was one vehicle involved. It was southbound and ran off the road and hit a concrete culvert.
