Crittenden County's girls' basketball team lost a heartbreaker Friday night in the Fifth District championship at Marion's Rocket Arena. The Lady Rockets were defeated 48-46 on a Lyon County basket at the final buzzer.
The Lady Rockets have not won a district championship since 1985, the year coach Shannon Hodge was a junior on the team.
Crittenden will play at Webster County next in the Second Region Tournament by virtue of being runnerup in the district.
