A home south of Mott City off U.S. 641 was damaged by smoke and fire just before noon today.
Crittenden County Fire Department was called to the scene and quickly got the blaze under control before it destroyed the home.
Cause of the fire was immediately known, and crews are still on the scene at this hour.
The home belongs to a Dickey family, firefighters said.
