McConnell vows war with Obama over coal

Sen. Mitch McConnell, the next majority leader, said Friday that in response to a "war on coal" waged by President Barack Obama, "I'm going to go to war with him." He pledged that he and his fellow Republicans would combat the White House "in any way that we can" in the next Congress and signaled that a primary weapon will be using spending bills to limit funding of the Environmental Protection Agency, which wants to reduce carbon emissions.
