Cruz earns Livingston County

Ted Cruz beat Donald Trump in Livingston County caucusing, and the votes were as follows:

• Cruz: 142
• Trump: 118
• Rubio: 29
• Kasich: 21
• Carson: 2
• Paul: 2
• Bush: 1
• Christie: 1

Carson, Paul, Bush and Christie have dropped out of the race.

Livingston County Republicans were forced to poll in person in Benton today, but all GOP voters in the county were eligible to vote absentee.

Turnout in Livingston County was only 15.9 percent, which is about 6 points higher than GOP turnout in the last four presidential primaries.
