KSP looking for shooter on I-24

UPDATE: Police believe they have made contact with the suspect, and there is some indication this event could have been a false report. Authorities are still trying to determine if shots were actually fired.

State police are now looking for a possible shooter on I-24 eastbound, who was reportedly firing randomly with an apparent semi-automatic weapon.

Witnesses are reporting to Trigg County dispatching that a person in a black and green tractor-trailer has fired several rounds near the 55 mile maker.

Traffic is now moving slowly on the interstate and police are looking for alleged shooter.
