UPDATE: It appears that moisture caused the alarm to go off on its own.
The alarm that sounded in Marion at 10am was not an alert of any type of impending threat.
It was an electronic malfunction of some sort, according to the Marion Police Department. Technicians are trying to determine the reason the alarm sounded.
