Judge Simpson, 60, dies

District Judge Tommy Simpson, 60, who resigned just last week, has died. Simpson had been battling cancer for just over a year. More details will be published as they become available.

Visitation will be from 2:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.  Judge Simpson’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Church in Uniontown by Father Terry Divine at 11 a.m., Wednesday. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Morganfield.

The family requests donations in his memory to St. Agnes Church Building Fund, St. Anthony’s Hospice or the Ronald McDonald House of Louisville.
