Cowan, who graduated from Union County High School in 1977, played for the Wildcats' 1978 national championship team. He was drafted by the Houston Rockets, but chose to play professionally in Japan.
Brenda Cowan, a 1981 Union County graduate, will also be inducted. She died in 2004 in the line of duty while working for the Lexington Fire Department.
