Franklin sheriff's Facebook posts get attention

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has attracted national attention with a humorous plea on its Facebook page urging drug dealers to turn in their fellow drug dealers in an effort to reduce competition. “It’s trending as far west as Missouri,” Sheriff Pat Melton said during an interview with The State Journal Tuesday. CBS and Fox News in New York and two radio stations in Canada also interviewed him. Melton said they have received several tips since the message was posted at 1 p.m. Monday.
