Sandbagging underway in Dycusburg

Volunteer firemen have been requested to help sandbag near homes affected by the rising Cumberland River in Dycusburg. Barkley Dam has been releasing water at near record levels since 3 a.m., today, which is causing the river to rise and threaten homes in and around Dycusburg.

The following Crittenden County roads are closed due to flooding:
Amos
Axel Creek
Claylick Creek
Enon Church
Cool Springs
Providence
Dycus Road (south end)
