Kentucky 917 is closed in Livingston County between the 5 and 6 mile marker.
The Cumberland River is rising quickly in the area due to water from heaving rains across Tennessee over the weekend.
This closure on KY 917 (Stringtown Road) is between Lake City and the Iuka community in the southern end of the county.
A number of farmers along the river have already lost crops to the rising floodwaters.
Motorists should use appropriate caution as they travel highways and county roads near area rivers over the next several days. Additional road closures are likely due to the rising water levels.
