The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close KY 1608 (Maxfield Road) in Livingston County starting Wednesday, May 12.
The closure is to allow the repair of severe base failures on the approach to three bridges that cross Bayou Creek between mile point 2.49 and mile point 2.70. This is between Sugar Camp Spur and Chips Road.
Due to the extensive work required, Maxfield Road will remain closed round the clock until work is complete. There will be no marked detour.
Repair of the base failures and placement of new asphalt is expected to take about a week, weather permitting.
