Troopers from Post 2 in Madisonville arrested Marvin Gee, 44, of Hopkinsville on Friday after he posted a listing on Craigslist soliciting and encouraging people in the community to start killing police officers.
Gee was lodged in Christian County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
Trooper Sean Wint is continuing the investigation. Lt. Jason Newby, Trooper Billy Over and Hopkinsville Police Department assisted with the arrest.
