With the sweep of a double header Tuesday against Farmington, Mo., the Marion Bobcats extended their season into next week, securing a spot in the KIT League playoffs. The first game of a first-round, best-of-three series will be played next Tuesday at Guess Field beginning at 7:05 p.m.
As the season draws to a close, Bobcat center fielder Travis Jankowski continues to lead the league in hitting and stolen bases. Marion's Ryan Chesler and Derek Trovillion are tied with one other player in the league in home runs.
