Eastbound traffic is restricted to one lane on the US 68 Bypass/Eagle Way at the KY 272 intersection in Hopkinsville due to a spilled load of chicken offal.

The offal (chicken guts) has spilled across the eastbound lanes. Traffic is being pushed over to the edge of the roadway to get around the area.

Christian County Emergency Management is handling the foul-smelling, sticky, messy, clean up effort.  When the clean up process is nearing completion KYTC personnel will be called to the site to spread sand or take other action to assure the driving surface is safe for travel.

Motorists should use appropriate caution in this area.

Estimated duration is four hours.
