Tonya Driver, supervisor of instruction, said it’s important to know how many students will be starting kindergarten so the district can plan for an adequate numbers of teachers.
In the past few years, there have been four or five teachers for that age level. There are currently 105 students in Kindergarten.
Kindergarten is for students who will turn age five by Oct. 1.
The online survey is very brief. It is made up of just six questions, including child’s name, birth date, parents’ name and contact information and whether the child has attending other pre-school programs.
