Inside this week's Press

Tim Bennett of Dycusburg takes his turn in a washer
tournament during a past Dycusburg Day celebration. The

Community events in Marion, Dycusburg, Carrsville and Salem will keep area residents occupied this weekend, highlighted by the 24th annual Christmas in Marion on Saturday.

And a parcel of land on the former Alcoa property straddling Crittenden and Union counties should be a rural haven for deer, their hunters and other outdoorsmen.

Also, find out how a multi-county water project could keep the pipes full during the next disaster and see how Crittenden County businesses are fairing in the economic downturn.

Ten people were also indicted by a grand jury last week.
