Lanes restrict at Henderson bridges

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans daytime lane restrictions on the U.S. 41 Twin Bridges in Henderson starting today.

These daytime restrictions are for the annual fall cleaning and maintenance of the bridge structure. Maintenance crews have completed some of the work through the summer during lane restrictions for other work on the bridges. However, there is still some additional work required to help prepare the bridges for the arrival of winter weather.

Motorists should be prepared to encounter daytime lane restrictions on the bridges starting at about 8 a.m., each day.  Lane restrictions are expected to be removed by about 3 p.m., daily. The cleaning and maintenance work is expected to take about a week to complete.

Motorists should be prepared to encounter slowing and merging traffic on the bridge approach each day, weather permitting.  Today all traffic will be moved to the left-hand or passing lane.

We will attempt to provide timely updates on the lane configuration.
