Kentucky's fall burn ban in effect

Kentucky’s fall forest fire hazard season began yesterday and runs through Dec. 15. During the fire season, it is illegal to burn anything within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland between the daytime hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

This year, the state will be employing the use of bloodhounds for evidence detection in suspected arson cases.
