Storm damage in Marion early this morning

High winds did damage to homes, outbuildings and uprooted several trees early this morning in Marion. Much of the damage is isolated around North Weldon, North Main and North College streets. Power was out to several Kentucky Utilities customers overnight, but most has been restored. Crews are still out working on damaged lines in the city.

Trees were down and the flag pole was damaged at Veterans Memorial Park at the corner of North Weldon and Travis streets (pictured at right).

Trees were blown down across Ky. 295 between Dycusburg and Eddyville after midnight. Crews have the highway open now.

In Tolu, residents began evacuating yesterday afternoon. The Ohio River is expected to crest near 57 feet sometime next week.
