U.S. 60 closing at Union County line

U.S. 60 is expected to close due to high water at the Crittenden-Union county line at about dark tonight.

Water is slowly rising at the Tradewater River Bridge between Marion and Sullivan.

Water is over the roadway along the extended approaches. Due to the Tradewater River floodwaters already covering other crossings on secondary highways in the area, there is no practical detour.

U.S. 641 from the south will be the only major highway access into Crittenden County. The closure of US 60 will also limit highway access into southern Union County.
