Mexico bridge replacement begins soon

A bridge replacement project on Mexico Road in Crittenden County was expected to begin this week, with completion anticipated in early to mid-January, weather permitting.

The new bridge will be built at mile point 2.46, about 2.5 miles northwest of Ky. 70 near Reiters View Road. The county received $550,000 through the state’s County-City Bridge Improvement Program for the project.

Motorists must use alternate routes during construction and should not move or drive around road closure barricades.
