A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has reopened a section of KY 1943 in northern Lyon County.
KY 1943 has been closed at the 2 mile marker since July 17, to allow the construction of a new bridge over Crab Creek about 1/2 mile west of the KY 373 intersection.
The project was completed more than a month ahead of schedule.
Jim Smith Contracting of Grand Rivers is the prime contractor on this $1,499,724 group bridge project that includes construction of two bridges.
