Local businessman Craig Gilland has filed to run for District 6 magistrate, joining Bob Rowley in the Republican primary for the seat being vacated by incumbent Scott Belt, who has announced he will not seek re-election.
Gilland and Rowley are the only candidates filed to date for the district, and both are Republicans.
Deadline to file for partisan races on the May primary ballot is Jan. 9.
