U.S. Rep. James Comer visited Marion today for the formal announcement of $1 million in federal funding for a parallel taxiway at Marion-Crittenden County James C. Johnson Airport.
The Crittenden Press first reported the funding in February.
Dozens of dignitaries and individuals were present for the official announcement this week.
Comer said the project will improve airport safety and support regional economic development. A full report will appear in next week’s newspaper.
