We certainly have. And our first reaction is always this, “Well, it was in The Press.”
Too bad some folks rely only on their neighbor or Facebook for news. Because you know, and we know, that those who pay attention to their weekly newspaper are far more informed than those in the Social Media Tunnel. Sure, we use our social media platforms, too, but the deepest well of information is your local newspaper. We don’t post everything from our full edition of the newspaper online. That’s for obvious reasons.
Here are some things in this week’s newspaper that you will not find on social media before the newspaper hits the streets:
- Crittenden County’s 911 Service seeks mandated life support, and you will pay
- Insight into the county’s COVID situation
- Update on city leaf collection
- Something is brewing at Darben Plaza
- Paddy’s Bluff could be on the move again
- In sports, we lost a legend and a playoff game, but some local athletes are honored
- These are just a few things in the newspaper that you’re likely not going to learn from any other source
- Classifieds with places for rent, jobs for hire, farm produce and equipment for sale and other items ready to go
Please help us continue to bring you consistent, reliable, newsworthy and trustworthy information. Subscribe Right Here to a print or online full edition today, starting at just $2.95. Subscribing or advertising your business in our newspaper allows us to keep the lights on, and burning brightly. Many other newspapers across the nation and in Kentucky have closed in the past year. Others have been gutted and now provide little value to their communities. We greatly appreciate the support we receive from our area. Together, we can and will continue our mission to this community that began in 1879.
