Crittenden County Schools will be closed Tuesday, April 8, as flooding and roadway damage continue to create unsafe travel conditions.
The district will not be required to make up the day, thanks to a state waiver allowing use of banked instructional days. School officials said they hope to return later this week and are working with county leaders to assess transportation safety.
"We appreciate your patience as we continue to put safety first," the district said in a Monday afternoon statement.
